My Next Step: G42!

As I said, G42 is a 9 month program in Mijas, Spain. They are closely associated with Adventures in Missions (World Race). “G42 stands for the 42nd Generation, and describes people who choose to "become like Christ" in how they live and love others." Their mission is "to mobilize Christ-followers to plant or lead missional communities that establish the Kingdom of God around the world. We aim to empower leaders who are passionate about giving their lives to Christ and His message of radical love.”

The program is split in 3 trimesters that are each 3 months long. The first trimester is in Spain in the classroom, and the teachings are focused on the core teachings of Christ, and becoming men and women who cannot be stopped in our pursuit of Christ and His Kingdom. The second trimester is on the mission field, practicing and applying the concepts taught in the first three months, and actively living out the way of Jesus. The third trimester is back in the classroom solidifying lessons, sharing practicum lessons, and celebrating together.

I’m so excited about this opportunity and how closely it aligns with the things that God has put on my heart. I would love for you to continue partnering with me as I embark on my next step. There are a few ways you can partner with me.

First is prayerfully. I know for a fact that the prayers that so many of you lifted up this year on my behalf were a big part of the rewards I have been reaping from the World Race. So I would ask that you continue to pray for me: pray for my interim season between the World Race and G42, for my preparation for G42, and for my time at G42.

Second is by continuing to follow along and be a part of my journey! You can do that by subscribing to this blog! This is where I will continue to write about my journey with Jesus, Abba, and Holy Spirit and how that continues to shape my life. Third is financially. The cost for this program is $10,900. This cost covers all coursework, lodging, food, books and my practicum flights. It does not include my flights to and from Spain, my international insurance, other miscellaneous expenses. If you would like to give financially, either to help pay for the program (option 1) or for the other outside expenses I will have (options 2-4), there are a few ways you can do that.

1. You can give through paypal on the G42 website. Click here and scroll down to my picture in the March 2020 term to donate.

2. You can venmo me directly using @RachelCavender.

3. You can use Zelle which is an instant bank to bank transfer. For this you would just need to send the money to my email rachel.cavender@yahoo.com through Zelle on your bank platform.

4. You can also donate air miles to help me get to and from Spain.
