It All Belongs

Hi Everyone!
Wow. I’m so thankful for technology to connect, especially during this unprecedented time we are living in right now. Things here in Spain are a bit stricter than most places. We are on week 7 of lockdown here and we have been confined to our homes for 45 days… and counting.
Although this season here at G42 is not what any of us were expecting, it has been so, so beautiful. And through it all I’m reminded that everything belongs.
Because of this quarantine, we had to change up the teaching schedules. But they have literally all lined up perfectly. They have each built upon the other and set the foundation for the next week.
Because of this quarantine, we’ve had to choose into the people in our house and we have hit intimacy on a much deeper level than I imagine we would have if we would have been able to choose who to spend our time with.
Because of this quarantine we are getting rerouted to the States for practicum and possibly fall semester of G42. And although I don’t know yet what will either of these will bring, I know that it all belongs.
I know that it all belongs because time and time again God has shown that His love for us is the point of anything and everything. And in every moment of every day we have that love and we ARE that love. So the outside circumstances don’t matter. WOW! That is good news.
On a more personal note, this season here at G42 has transformed me at the deepest level. (And we are only 2 months in!)
God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit have used this place, these people, and these circumstances to open my eyes to who I really am. They have rooted me in them and their love as my identity. And I’m telling you it changes everything.
I don’t quite have words yet for everything else that is happening inside me, other than I have been daily experiencing heaven coming to earth and the fullness of life in the Holy Spirit.
In terms of my summer practicum, I was originally slated to be in Costa Rica, but I will now be in Knoxville, TN working with an anti-human trafficking organization. Then hopefully we will head back to Mijas, Spain in the fall.
I want to leave you with this...
Abba (my tender Father in heaven) has been helping me understand grace more lately. And the other day He walked me into the revelation that grace is the opportunity to learn something without getting it right.
Pause, read that last sentence again.
Grace is the opportunity to learn something without getting it right.
And it is the opportunity to try again and again and get better at learning that new thing each time. Without expectation. Without judgement. Only love.
We get to learn things with only love surrounding us. No judgement. No expectation to be good enough or to be better. Just LOVE.
Do you know that kind of grace? If not, I encourage you to ask God for an experience with it. It might just change how you see and encounter the love of God for the rest of your life.
